Victims were inside their hotel room at the University Inn when they were awoken by a knock on the door. Victim believing it was his cousin began to open the door. While doing so, three males (1 B/M and 2 W/M’s) kicked the door open and pushed their way into the room. The B/M was armed with a knife. Once inside the suspect began yelling at the victim while striking and kicking him in the face and body. The other victim was pushed onto the bed and told not to move.
When the suspects did not find any money in the hotel room they left the area in what a witness described as a purple Impala. The vehicle was last seen heading westbound on E. Colonial Drive.
Victim sustained multiple contusions on his face/head and was transported to the hospital.
