Man Arrested after Soliciting “Father” for Sex with his Children

A man who traveled to Orange County, after repeatedly soliciting a father of two young girls for sex with his children, was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail on Wednesday.

Paul Joseph Quillen, arrested

Paul Joseph Quillen, 41, believed he was talking to the father of two girls, ages 11 and 13, not realizing he was actually communicating with an undercover investigator of the Attorney General’s CyberCrime Unit.

Quillen, who lives in Yulee, Nassau County, began chatting online with the undercover investigator last week when during the conversations he repeatedly solicited the father for sex with the two children.  He then traveled to a location in Orange County where he was arrested by law enforcement.  Upon his arrest he was transported to the Orange County Jail.

Quillen has been charged on several counts including solicitation of a parent for unlawful sex acts with a child, a third-degree felony and traveling to meet a parent for unlawful sex acts with a minor, a second-degree felony under the CyberCrimes Against Children Act of 2007.

If convicted of all charges, Quillen faces up to 20 years in prison, a statement from the Attorney General’s Office said.
