WHAT:
District 5 School Board Member “Kat” Gordon will hold an Oak Ridge High School parent meeting tonight to discuss Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) transfer options for students.
The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has included Oak Ridge on the list of schools across the state that will offer students the option to voluntarily transfer to another school. The inclusion of Oak Ridge on the list of schools into the OSP at this point has been based on FCAT scores only. There are additional indicators that will make up the overall school grade. Their school grade will be released in November. The district is confident in the increasing quality of the programs at Oak Ridge and will continue to provide support for the students and families.
