McChrystal thought Obama “Uncomfortable and Intimidated”

General Stanley McChrystal, top commander in Afghanistan may soon be out of a job, as he makes his way back to Washington to explain highly critical comments about President Obama, Vice President and other key administration officials in an article published today in Rollingstone magazine.   McChrystal describes the Commander in Chief as looking “uncomfortable and intimidated”, when the two met after Obama took office.

Entitled, The Runaway General, the article states that when McChrystal met Obama they failed from the outset to connect.

According to news reports, McChrystal has since issued an apology for his remarks saying that he has “enormous respect and admiration for President Obama”.  There are reports too that McChrystal has offered his resignation, although these are unconfirmed.

If McChrystal has submitted his resignation, sources say it would strictly be up to President Obama whether he accepts it or not.
