Orlando Police officers responded to a disturbance on Tuesday afternoon at 5749 Gatlin Avenue where a man was brandishing a firearm at the Venetian Place apartments. According to police the suspect began shooting from inside an apartment through the door. He has been charged with attempted murder on a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO).
Upon arrival, around 6:15 pm, police evacuated adjoining apartments and then deployed gas into the target location, which was cleared 15-minutes later.
Police recovered a gun inside the target apartment.
Tracy Lewis Walker, 43 years, was arrested and charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and aggravated assault with a firearm.
No officers or citizens were injured in the disturbance.
Police are continuing with their investigation.
