Space shuttle Atlantis with its six crew members landed on Wednesday at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), after a 12-day journey to the International Space Station. The 4.8 million-mile mission is the third of five shuttle missions planned for 2010 and the last scheduled flight for Atlantis.
The mission, designated STS-132, delivered a Russian-built research module that provides more store space and new docking port to the Space Station.
Astronauts also undertook three space walks which included replacing and installing equipment outside the Station.
With Commander Ken Ham and Pilot Tony Antonelli at the controls and Garrett Reisman, Michael Good, Steve Bowen, and Piers Sellers on board, space shuttle Atlantis touched down at 8:48 am, on Wednesday.
