Advocates Working Together for Victims

Virginia Cervasio never saw it coming.  Her son Angelo, 24, rarely drank, never used drugs, and didn’t seem depressed. An Air Force veteran, Angelo loved riding his motorcycle and had applied to join the police force near his hometown in southwest Florida.

Then, not long after midnight on January 17, 2006, detectives rang Cervasio’s doorbell. Angelo was dead. He had shot himself in an apparent suicide.

Please come meet Virginia and others as they share their experiences in the hope it will benefit others at the 6th annual “Advocates Working Together for Victims” Wednesday April 21, 2010 from 8:30 – 11:30 am at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office 2500 West Colonial Drive. The goal is to pull together for the prevention, intervention, and postvention of suicide.
