The annual Orange County toy drive benefits local families, and the Mayor is asking residents to donate.
Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings launched the 2024 Orange County Mayor’s Holiday Toy Drive. Now in its 14th year, the toy drive has collected more than 86,000 toys and gifts directly benefiting local youth. Last year, the generous residents of Orange County donated 11,566 toys and served nearly 1,900 children, which was the toy drive’s biggest impact yet.
“Every toy donated to our toy drive goes directly to an Orange County family that needs support this holiday season,” said Mayor Jerry Demings. “By contributing, you’re not just giving a gift; you’re creating hope and spreading kindness. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
Donations support Orange County youth and family agencies, including the Orange County Neighborhood Centers for Families, Wraparound Orange, Orange County Public Schools Kids’ Closet, and local nonprofit organizations.
Residents can conveniently donate online or drop new, unwrapped items at one of many locations around the county. Here are details on how to participate:
SHOP ONLINE: Purchase a gift online from our virtual toy store by Tuesday, December 3rd. All purchases will be shipped directly to our holiday warehouse.
DONATE IN PERSON: Drop off your new, unwrapped toy donations by Monday, December 9th. Find a location near you by using the Orange County interactive map.
Cash, gift cards, and plush toys are not accepted.
The Central Florida toy drive serves youth from infants through teens.
Please include extra items where appropriate – for example, batteries with electronic toys or crayons with a coloring book.
