Family Fun Fest Showcases Refugee Services

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) in partnership with the Trinity Lutheran Church and School Star Fish Ministry and other supporting agencies will host its first Family Fun Fest: A Refugee Resource Day.

The event will be held Saturday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church and School, 3016 West Vine Street (U.S. 192) in Kissimmee.

Family Fun Fest will showcase the services available to refugees in the area. Health screenings will be available for youth and adults. Potential employers will be on hand to provide information. There will also be food and a variety of fun activities and games for children and families.

Members of the community are invited to learn about volunteer opportunities.

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF), established in 1982, is a statewide, non-profit, human services agency dedicated to helping all people in need regardless of religious affiliation, age, or national origin. Headquartered in Tampa, the Agency has more than 60 programs that support citizenship applications, employment referrals, English language classes, counseling and other services.   Since its establishment, that agency has helped more than 800,000 children and families throughout Florida.
