Florida Business Continuity Center opens its Doors

Florida Business Continuity Center, a facility offering increased capacity to meet the needs of public and private sector businesses following a disaster, formally opened its doors last week.

Florida Business Continuity Center, Winter Haven

Located in Winter Haven, the 14,000-square-foot facility boasts infrastructure and amenities to seat 250 persons, with added flexibility and a full array of data center services, including disaster recovery hosting solutions; microsoft exchange hosting options; colocation and managed hosting services; and Flood Zone “X” Extensive and diverse power, UPS and generator backup systems.

The Center, which is situated in the Inland Fiber and Data Technology Park, is easily accessible to and from all parts of the state and away from risks that might arise on account of coastal locations.

Staffed by a team of twelve, the Center provides an array of on-site services, including IT,  engineering, logistical and administrative personnel, that mirror the requirements of companies, allowing for uninterrupted operation, in the aftermath of a disaster.

Although there are several disaster recovery and workforce recovery facilities throughout Florida, which support businesses and governmental entities following a disaster, Florida Business Continuity Center is the first such facility in the Central Florida area.
