State Senator Alleges Wife of Democratic Opponent Harassed, Intimidated Voters

In what has been a messy, and seemingly personal, Democratic primary, one State Senator is alleging the wife of her Democratic opponent and former State Senator harassed and intimated Central Florida voters.

According to a campaign press release, individuals stationed at early voting sites in Senate District 15 to remind voters to consider the qualifications of Democrat Senator Geraldine F. Thompson have reported that they are being confronted, harassed and intimidated by the wife of former Senator Randolph Bracy, III, who is also a Democrat.

Senator Thompson supporters specifically indicated that they are “challenged at voting sites by Mrs. Kietta Bracy,” who they allege has asserted that they should refuse to work for or ask voters to support Senator Geraldine F. Thompson because she has failed to pass bills during her tenure in the Florida Legislature, which is a statement not supported by the facts according to Thompson’s campaign.

Randolph Bracy has used that as a political attack in the primary campaign as a reason to send him back to the Florida legislature dominated by Republicans over Thompson.

Senator Thompson supporters have indicated that they are concerned about the hostile political approach by Mrs. Bracy and will record future efforts to intimidate them should they occur during the days leading up to the August 20th primary race between incumbent Orlando Senator Geraldine F. Thompson and former State Senator Bracy.

Meanwhile, a video was posted on social media showing Democratic candidate Randolph Bracy campaigning with his wife at a voting location, where they were “making voting fun” and encouraging people to vote.
