Suspected Murder-Suicide Under Investigation in Central Florida

A suspected murder-suicide is under investigation in Central Florida.




On August 14th  at 6:37pm, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call regarding two possible deceased individuals in a parking lot at HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital located at 6001 Webb Road.

Once deputies arrived on the scene, they found two deceased individuals, a woman with gunshot wounds and an adult male with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office identified the two individuals involved in the recent murder-suicide.

The adult female victim is 67-year-old Zelica Martucci, and the adult male has been identified as 75-year-old Philip Martucci, who succumbed to a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“This is an unimaginable tragedy, and our hearts break for the families and loved ones affected by this senseless loss,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Violence like this is never the solution. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted by this tragedy.”




This is an active and ongoing investigation, according to local law enforcement.
