President Barack Obama earlier today at the much-anticipated bi-partisan health care summit with Republicans spent much of the day defending why the existing health care bill should not be scuttled. Obama even got into a spat with his presidential rival John McCain who talked at length on the back-room or special deals that were struck and which had been included in the bill.
Obama reminded McCain that the campaign was over, noting that, “We’re not campaigning anymore, John, the election is over”, to which McCain replied, “I’m reminded of that every day”.
