The SeaWorld employee who was attacked and killed earlier today by a killer whale has been identified, Orange County Sheriff’s Office homicide investigators have said.
Dawn Brancheau, 40 years, was attacked by a killer whale in the Shamu tank in the Shamu Stadium this afternoon. According to OCSO investigators, Brancheau was pronounced dead at the park after being recovered from the pool. She was an experienced trainer having worked with killer whales for 16 years.
OCSO deputies are continuing with their investigation into the death of the trainer
