Bomb threats lead to evacuation of Stores in Orange County

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to two bomb threats on the county’s South Side this afternoon.

The first call was received at the Nordstrom’s Department Store in the Florida Mall, 8001 South Orange Blossom Trail, at 12:32 PM today.  Two minutes later a call was received by the Walmart, 8101 John Young Parkway.  In both instances the call was taken by an employee of the stores and the caller was reported to be a male.

Both stores were evacuated following the threats and searched by Sheriff’s Deputies.  Nothing suspicious was found at either location and, according to deputies at both scenes, the stores involved are resuming their normal business activities.
