A Central Florida man has been arrested after fatally stabbing a family member.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for fatally stabbing a family member following an argument in Ruskin, south of Tampa. 20-year-old Juan Rodríguez Ramírez is now facing one charge of Murder in the Second Degree with a Weapon.
On December 17th, at 12:52pm, the HCSO Communications Center received a call reporting an adult male had been stabbed in the 700 block of 21st Ave SE.
When deputies arrived, they discovered the victim sustained upper-body trauma and was pronounced deceased.
Through investigative means, detectives learned there was a verbal altercation that escalated to the suspect intentionally stabbing the victim.
“It is profoundly disheartening that what began as a disagreement between family members has tragically resulted in the irreplaceable loss of a life,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Violence is never a solution, and now, the suspect will now have to face the severe consequences of his actions.”
This investigation is ongoing, according to local law enforcement.
