Central Florida veteran Jacqueline Jackson, as part of The Jackie Jackson™ brand, launched an affordable real estate investing course geared towards helping everyday individuals. The Tax Deed Genius 8-week course focuses on multiple strategies of state-sponsored investing that are little-known to many in the black community. Jackson says though unfamiliar, each of the programs have potential for gains and the high yield of return has potential to notably improve the lives of participants, and thus she wants it accessible for as many as possible.
“My driving factors include the hardworking families who labor tirelessly and yet still manage to just stay afloat, much like I used to be,” Jackson said. “There’s no reason to work the corporate 9 – 5 any longer when lucrative avenues exist such as tax deed and tax lien real estate investing.”
After her service in the military, Jackson found herself struggling to make ends meet despite long hours and taxing days. Once she became aware of the tax deed investment strategy, her first investment yielded her more than her entire previous years’ salary. She never looked back and now serves her country as an Officer in the U.S Army Reserves and also shares lessons learned from her 15+ years of experience investing in real estate.
While buying tax deeds is not a typical starting point for new investors, it can be a lucrative investment strategy and there are definitely risks like any kind of investing.
Tax deed and tax lien investing is on the rise and has been shown to have a disproportionate impact on African-Americans and the elderly. These groups have been especially impacted by housing default as the country emerges from the global COVID-19 pandemic. In order to refortify the black community, Jackson wants to place education and empathy into the hearts of those who need it most. Aside from imparting knowledge and know-how to the public, her efforts include reaching out more to these communities. Within her own brand, she employs her fellow community members to support individuals and their families directly. Jackson is also redirecting a portion of the Tax Deed Genius proceeds to start up her own non-profit organization.
