OCPS Superintendent Barbara Jenkins Awarded for Expanding Non-Traditional Pathways to Success for Students

Dr. Barbara Jenkins, Superintendent of Orange County Public Schools, received the Cognia Values-Driven Award during the 2022 Cognia Florida State Conference in Palm Harbor.

The Values Driven Award recognizes a member or institution that is doing outstanding work to advance and enable pathways to success for all learners. OCPS offers a wide variety of career program certifications, as well as Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Cambridge AICE and college dual enrollment programs to provide students opportunities to be college and career ready when they graduate high school.

The team behind Dr. Jenkins is as dedicated to building a unified culture and a persistent, unyielding commitment to success for every student as she is,” said Dianna Weinbaum, Senior Director of Florida.

Cognia is a non-profit, continuous improvement organization that conducts rigorous, on-site reviews of a variety of educational institutions and provides resources, tools, and support to education leaders across the globe to ensure all learners realize their full potential.

OCPS Superintendent Dr. Jenkins was also recently selected to receive the prestigious Baldrige Foundation’s Leadership Award.
