At approximately 7:20 am, today, Tuesday, December 8th, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Cypress Creek High School in reference to a homemade acid bomb that was detonated in the courtyard, near the Administrative Offices.
No students were injured and the school was placed on modified lockdown during the incident. A school employee suffered minor burns on his right index finger while removing the device out of the way after it had exploded. The area was secured and cordoned off by the School’s Resource Officers.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrest has been made at this time.
