It was not a pair of shoes that Sarah Palin had to dodge, as former President George Bush had to do when an Arab journalist hurled a pair of his own shoes in protest at the Iraq war, in Baghdad, December 2008.
But, today, as the former Vice Presidential nominee continued on her book signing tour, a man threw two tomatoes at Palin.
Palin was at the Mall of America in Minnesota signing copies of “Going Rogue”, when Jeremiah Wobbe apparently had enough of the charade and two tomatoes were pelted at her. The tomatoes did not strike Palin, but reports say that a police officer was hit in the face.
Wobbe who was arrested could face charges for assualting a police officer.
Meanwhile, after the incident, Palin continued with her book signing. She did not address the gathering, nor did she take any questions from the crowd. That however, is not unusual.
Although over one million copies of Palin’s book, “Going Rogue” have been sold, it has been heavily criticized for its many inaccuracies and dismissed as superficial.
