In honor of Caribbean Heritage Month 2019, U.S. Congressman Darren Soto held a ceremony recognizing six individuals in Central Florida for their accomplishments. The honorees’ biographies were submitted into the Congressional Record and they received official Congressional Certificates. See all names and links to video from the Congressional record below.
“Every June, we celebrate National Caribbean-American Heritage Month while paying tribute to the contributions and accomplishments of Caribbean Americans. Our heritage is diverse, enriched by different nationalities, languages, cultures, and all beaming with pride,” stated Rep. Soto. “Central Florida is home to a vibrant Caribbean immigrant community. I was proud to present six of our local leaders with Congressional recognition for their important work strengthening our district. We thank all of the honorees for their continued commitment and contributions to our community!”
The honorees were recognized by Rep. Soto in a ceremony on Monday, June 17th, 2019 at the Kissimmee District office.
