The race to replace Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio is wide open with no clear frontrunner emerging, according to a just-released Mason-Dixon poll.

In both the Democratic and Republican primaries, decisive numbers of voters are undecided, the Jacksonville-based Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. survey of 500 Republican voters and 500 Democratic voters found. And U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, a Ponte Vedra Republican who has pieced together what many consider an impressive campaign, is struggling amid a field of candidates who are better known or who come from more populous parts of the state.
On the Democratic side, U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, widely considered the establishment candidate, is running neck and neck with U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, a sometimes fiery Central Florida Democrat who is positioning himself as the liberal alternative to Murphy. Grayson edges Murphy 33 percent to 32 percent, with 35 percent of voters remaining undecided.
