Orange County deputies have identified the man who was shot and killed at a party in Waterford Lakes early on the Saturday morning and party goers are being encouraged to come forward.
The deceased is Carlton Ashford, 24.
Deputies arrived at a house party around 2:00 a.m., at 12440 Sophiamarie Loop, Vizcaya in Waterford Lakes, to find Ashford unresponsive.
Witnesses say, there was an altercation between Ashford and a Hispanic male.
Ashford was shot multiple times and was taken to Florida Hospital East, where he was pronounced deceased.
“We know there were many partygoers who left prior to speaking to law enforcement due to what occurred,” said OCSO Capt. Angelo Nieves. “We would like to encourage partygoers who were present and may have seen the suspect prior to the shooting or fleeing, to come forward and speak with us.”
