A drive-by shooting Sunday morning in the vicinity of the Florida Mall, has left a driver dead and two passengers wounded, Orange County deputies said.
The shooting happened just after 4:00 a.m., at the intersection of South Orange Blossom Trail and Southland Boulevard.
Two passengers, Chris Johnson and Reggie Johnson, both 29, who were passengers in the vehicle told investigators that an unknown vehicle pulled up beside the Jeep they were in and opened fire, as they waited at the red light.
Chris Johnson, New York Jets running back, was hit in the shoulder, according to reports. Reggie Johnson was struck in the shoulder, hand and leg.
Dreekins Oricko Johnson, 28, was identified as the driver of the Jeep. He was pronounced dead on the spot.
The relationship between the three men is unknown.
Deputies say, no one is under arrest at this time.
