Charity Navigator, America’s largest and most-utilized independent evaluator of charities, has ranked Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida the top human service organization in Florida for sound its sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency. Second Harvest’s score was the second highest in all categories of charities, behind the Jacksonville-based Step Up For Students, which provides scholarships to low-income and special-needs children.

Charity Navigator works to help charitable givers make intelligent giving decisions by providing information on more than five thousand charities nationwide and by evaluating their financial health.
