Home At Last officials have announced work has begun on a sixth home for Marine Sgt. Stephen Tovet and his wife, Krystina.

The home, designed by architect Jack Scott, is located in the 300 block of Cross Street, adjacent to Speer Park, in Oakland.

Last week, Tucker Paving of Winter Haven, site contractors on the project, installed the silt fencing, delivered nine truckloads of fill and prepped and graded the building pad.

CCK is scheduled to begin concrete operations on August 7, with a concrete pour planned for August 19th.  Roof trusses are tentatively scheduled for delivery on Monday, August 25th and Tom Voll will be the framing contractor.

Jason Goetz of Hensel Phelps Construction Co. is the on site Project Engineer.

The Tovets, who are anxious to see work begin on their home, visited the site on Friday.

Home At Last is a special project of West Orange Habitat for Humanity, dedicated to building mortgage free, accessible homes for combat wounded disabled veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
