The Central Florida Commission on Homelessness is leading a historic campaign to raise awareness of citizens and propel local leaders to seriously tackle the growing problem of homelessness.
Entitled “Rethink Homelessness” the campaign was started 8 months ago and a new video created, which asks the homeless to write down a fact about themselves that other people wouldn’t know just by walking past them.

It is estimated that there are nearly 48,000 homeless persons in Florida, about 8 percent of the total U.S. homeless population.
