Deeds of Love, Inc., Redeemed In-Action Ministries, and Clarita’s House, Inc., proudly presents a profound insightful program entitled “A Tribute to God’s-Son II.” The keynote speaker for this event is “The Honorable Portia Simpson-Miller, M. P., The Leader of the Opposition, and Member of Parliament South West, St Andrew. There will be a special award ceremony honoring Attorney Steven M. Meyers for his years of work with the farm workers and migrant communities. Other community persons will be honored and receive awards as well.
The date of this powerful event is Sunday, November 8, 2009, and it starts at 4:00 with a reception and light refreshments. Our keynote speaker, the Honorable Portia Simpson-Miller was Jamaica’s first female Prime Minister from March 30, 2006 to September11, 2007. She is a strong believer of lifelong learning and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters by the Union Institution. She was Vice President of the PNP from 1978 to 2006, and assumed President and Leader in February 25, 2006. She has held many prestigious positions in the government and has always supported the poor with economic programs and vowed to fight corruption. It is an esteemed honor and privilege for the Honorable Porita Simpson-Miller to speak in Orlando.
The executive director and founder of Deeds of Love, Inc is Mr. Lloyd Beeston, former council member of Jamaica. He is changing lives each day with acts of love from the heart.
