fb28Generic-News-Fatal-Crash.jpegA woman was killed on Interstate 4 on Wednesday, when the SUV she was driving overturned multiple times and was hit by another vehicle, Florida Highway Patrol said.

Melissa Ostrom, 21, of Orlando, was pronounced dead on scene by the Medical Examiner.

Troopers say, Ostrom was entering westbound I-4 near mile marker 101 from the exit ramp of northbound State Road 417, when for an unknown reason she lost control of the 2002 Ford SUV she was driving.   The SUV overturned multiple times, entering the westbound lanes.

A Toyota Corolla traveling westbound in the left through lane was unable to avoid hitting Ostrom’s SUV, as it was overturned on its roof, troopers also said.

The Jacksonville driver of the Toyota Corolla was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
