Students Take To The Streets for Walk to School Day 2009

WHAT: Several Orange County School Board members will join students, parents and staff in celebration of 2009 International Walk to School Day.

Schools participate in this event to promote physical fitness and pedestrian safety. They also may use the day to demonstrate how walking or riding bicycles allows for fewer vehicles on the road and encourages environmental awareness. At more than 25 of our schools you will see a larger number of walkers and bike riders than normal. For more about Walk to School Day 2009, click here.
