Orlando Police Chief Mina meets communities to strengthen crime fighting efforts

 

opd2The City of Orlando recognizes the important role our community plays in keeping Orlando neighborhoods safe and that resident engagement is a proven-effective way to reduce crime. To strengthen the partnership with Orlando citizens in the fight against crime, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Police Chief John Mina are hosting “Meet the Chief” events this summer in each district throughout the City.

The events will provide an opportunity for Orlando’s new Police Chief to meet directly with the residents and businesses he is charged with keeping safe and provide important information about ways residents can partner with the City to combat crime.

WHEN & WHERE:

Events are scheduled in each City of Orlando District from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the following locations:

District 1 – May 19, 2014 – Northlake Park Elementary

District 2 – June 16, 2014 – Dover Shore Community Center

District 3 – May 27, 2014 – Loch Haven Community Center

District 4 – June 10, 2014 – Beardall Senior Center

District 5 – June 12, 2014 – Jackson Community Center

District 6 – May 29, 2014 – Smith Community Center
