The three children authorities have been looking for all week were found Saturday in Leesburg, according to Volusia County sheriff’s spokesman Gary Davidson.
The Florida Department of Children & Families had been looking for the Rudy children — Darien, 4, Ceili, 8, and Rainah, 10 — since Labor Day, according to Reggie Williams, a local administrator for DCF, and enlisted the help of the Sheriff’s Office after they were ordered into the state’s custody Monday.
The children are safe and sound, Davidson said, and were in the care of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday night while DCF was en route to execute the court order.
