Board approves creation of Transportation Task Force
School Board Member Vicky Bell proposed that the school board appoint a Transportation Task Force made up of citizens from each board member’s district. She explained that the task force would conduct research, ask questions and help the board save money on transportation costs.
After discussion by the board, the proposal was approved. Each board member will select two members and an alternate to serve on the committee. The deadline for any suggested changes to district transportation that would be implemented for the next school year will be March 31. Board members must have their committee members selected by the next board meeting, which is scheduled for January 27.
