Two suspect have been arrested in the murder of another man last March and an additional person of interest is being sought, Sanford police said.

Anthony L. Barnes, 25, and Olajuwana E. Perry, 27, both of Sanford, have been arrested, accused of killing Marcus Killingsworth on March 27, earlier this year.

Killingsworth, 33, who was standing in front of a residence at 1119 West 12 Street around 10:00 p.m., was gunned down after he was approached by two unknown males.  Police said then, that robbery appeared to be the motive for Killingsworth’s murder.

“We thank the community, in particular those in the Historic Goldsboro Community, for supporting our efforts to bring closure to the Killingsworth family,” he said.

Police are still investigating an additional person of interest.
