The National Action Network Central Florida Chapter (NAN), one of the leading civil rights organizations in the Nation has mobilized with Star 94.5, Fight Back Coalition, Community Empowerment Partnership, Inner City Neighborhood Association, Community Action Network (CAN) and Women of Color Leadership Coalition to hold a community forum. The purpose of the forum is for citizens to continually discuss issues surrounding Florida vs. George Zimmerman verdict and to have an open dialogue about Amend Stand Your Ground Law (SYG), Economic Initiative Campaign, the impact American Legislative Exchange Council (A.L.E.C.), Environmental Injustice, Voting Rights, Legislative Updates, and Community Advocacy that are affecting African Americans and communities of color. Also, the forum will highlight the controversial death of James Anderson of Ft. Pierce, Florida, while in the custody of local police and others.
