Florida Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio sent home most of their employees and closed several offices across the state, on account of the government shutdown which began Tuesday.
Rubio, a Republican, is closing offices in Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Pensacola, Tallahassee, Naples and Palm Beach, but keeping his Orlando office open. Nelson is closing offices in Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Miami, Broward, Orlando, Tallahassee, Tampa and Fort Myers.
