LYNX, Central Florida’s bus system, plans on introducing new articulated hybrid buses soon. However, the precise number of buses and the timing of their introduction remain unclear.
Although a photograph was published by LYNX and riders, via Twitter, are being encouraged to “take a gander at one of our new articulated hybrid buses,” information was hard to come by.
This reporter, after three calls, was unable to obtain basic information on the new articulated hybrid buses and wondered if LYNX has a public relations officer.
Articulated buses are comprised of a single-deck design with two rigid sections linked by a pivoting joint, allowing for higher passenger capacity, our research revealed.
LYNX provides public transportation services for Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties.
