Orlando Science Center, in partnership with the Walmart Foundation, has announced that the next Walmart $5 Day will be Sunday, August 25.
On that day, guests can enjoy exhibits, giant screen and 3D films, and live programs for the significantly discounted price of $5. General admission fees are usually $19 for adults and $13 for youth (ages 3-11). For many, this event presents the opportunity to experience the Science Center for the first time.
Experience this summer’s travelling exhibits: “Adventures with Clifford The Big Red Dog” and “Blue Man Group — Making Waves”; see our newest National Geographic 3-D film “Flying Monsters 3D” narrated by Sir David Attenborough; and watch things blow up in our live show “KaBoom.”
· In “The Adventures with Clifford The Big Red Dog,” guests can board the Birdwell Island ferry and journey to the world of Clifford™, America’s beloved crimson canine. The exhibit reinforces “Clifford’s Big Ideas,” ten simple, tangible life lessons designed to help young children navigate their world through interactive, “paws-on” activities.
· Discover the science of sound in “Blue Man Group — Making Waves.” The exhibit brings together science and art, and will take the whole family through a multi-sensory exploration of sound that provides an opportunity to play together while discovering the fun of music.
· In addition, experience movies in 3D and stunning 4K resolution in our newly-renovated Digital Adventure Theater: A National Geographic Experience. See an educational film like “Flying Monsters 3D,” “Meerkats 3D,” or “Space Junk 3D.” Entrance to all films is included in the reduced admission price.
· In our live “KaBoom” show, learn about the states of matter while exploring the science of explosions!
