On Monday, State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong will join with State Representative Jose Felix Diaz, District 116, and Florida Department of Health-Miami-Dade Administrator Dr. Lillian Rivera to launch the WIC electronic benefit program.
As a result of this innovation, 500,000 of Florida’s most vulnerable mothers and young children will have easier access to healthy food at more than 2,000 locations around the state.
Immediately following the announcement there will be a brief demonstration of the system.
