A 20-year-old man who was driving drunk on Monday and killed an Orlando passenger in another vehicle, is now responsible for another death.

Benjamin Frias, 30, the driver of the Toyota Corolla that was rear-ended by Alejandro Correa, 20, has died from his injuries, troopers said Wednesday.

Correa, who was driving drunk around 12:30 a.m., on Monday, crashed into Frias’ vehicle when he was stopped at a traffic light, on World Centre Drive.

24-year-old Giselle Batista, a passenger in the Toyota Corolla, died at the scene when the car was rear-ended.

Frias, who sustained critical injuries and was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, died earlier today.

Correa, who suffered minor injuries, was arrested on charges on DUI manslaughter in Batista’s death.

Troopers said, Correa will now face additional charges in the death of Frias, at a later date.

  1. fAMILY AND FRIENDS OF THIS COUPLE ARE DEVASTATED. THIS MONSTER HAS DISTROYED WHATEVER PLANS THEY HAD IN THE FUTURE AND NOW THERE 4 MONTH OLD SON WILL NEVER KNOW HIS MOMMY AND DADDY. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED AND HE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN GIVEN A 30 DAY DRIVING PERMIT.

  2. and plus! why would he even need a 30 day permit to drive?? If that were me in correa’s shoes which thank God i’m not. I’d be petrified to drive after what “i’ve done”…

  3. Poor little baby with no mommy or daddy. This “man” should have never been let out of jail let alone allowed to drive again for 30 days. Come on do you REALLY think he’s not going to do it again? Look at the way his family was protecting him. This kid is on the roads that we drive on after this. He killed people, whether intentionally or not, he did it. The dmv will suspend your license for an unpaid parking ticket but will allow an underage intoxicated driver drive?!?! You get a felony for 3 driving on a suspended, but walk if someone loses their life? And how did he not know that he was in an accident, what was he on?!?!? Make an example out of this kid. Is there a re-arrest for the additional charge? Was his bond revoked? Praying for justice and peace for the families of Ben and Giselle.
