Two gunmen who shot a homeowner before fleeing the residence off Fort Christmas Road, in Orange County, ended up killing themselves, Orange County deputies said.
Erin Hoag, 20, and Nicholas Neber, 21, were found dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds inside a home at 4545 N. Fort Christmas Road, deputies said.
Deputies also say, Hoag and Neber, shortly before, had burglarized the home of Jesse Lowa, 47, located at 4505 Lazy H. Lane, shooting him in the upper body, before fleeing. Lowa had returned to his home around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, interrupting the burglary in progress. The pair demanded money and shot Lowa, who suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Shortly after, investigators received information that two persons of interest in connection with the burglary and shooting, were at 4505 N. Fort Christmas Road.
Tactical units verified the presence of the individuals inside and made call outs. However, the suspect refused to come out.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was called to the scene; armed with a warrant SWAT deployed tactically and made entry into the home.
Hoag and Neber were found deceased inside the home. Deputies say, both men died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
Deputies confirmed both Hoag and Neber were the suspects who burglarized and shot Lowa at his home.
