About 1,500 employment seekers are expected to turn up at the historic Plaza Theatre in Orlando today, Thursday, for a job fair called “Putting America Back to Work”. With numerous layoff over the past several months and some 100,000 people without jobs in Central Florida, organizers of this job fair say there will be about 50 companies participating and looking to hire workers.
Organizers of a job fair in Orlando say they made sure the forty companies involved are actually hiring. Jobs range from bus drivers to engineers and Governor Crist is expected to speak this morning. (see complete job fair information)
The job fair and seminar event runs from 10:00am until 3:00pm at the Plaza Theatre, located at 425 N. Bumby Avenue in Orlando.
