A 13-year-old was arrested after a 15-year-old was stabbed in Central Florida.
Volusia County detectives developed probable cause to charge 13-year-old Haiden Beauvais with principal to aggravated battery the stabbing during a fight in Deltona that left a juvenile victim injured with several stab wounds.
Detectives established that Haiden planned and orchestrated the attack. He was taken into custody without incident.
The 15-year-old male victim was transported to an area hospital where he received staples and stitches for his injuries.
The incident was reported at 3:39pm in the area of Courtland Boulevard and Hanford Drive. A deputy in the area heard the call via Live 911 and was on scene in two minutes, applying a bandage to slow the victim’s bleeding.
Detectives are interviewing parties with knowledge of the incident and working to positively identify multiple subjects involved. According to information gathered in the initial investigation, one or more of the suspects were known to the victim and reportedly jumped him due to a prior dispute.
The investigation is continuing, according to local law enforcement.
