12,105 COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Given at OCPS Schools in Past Month

In the past month, 12,105 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered during OCPS-hosted events for Orlando students, staff, their families and the community. The Orange County school district will host additional vaccination clinics in school buildings at the start of 2022. See the breakdown by school below.




As soon as the COVID-19 vaccine was authorized for children as young as five years old, OCPS scheduled two rounds of clinics at each of the 22 traditional high schools, starting on November 9th and ending on December 6th. These were open to anyone needing any type of COVID-19 vaccine, whether it be a pediatric (5-11 years of age) or adult (12 years of age and up) dose, or a booster shot. The schedule was planned so that children could be fully vaccinated by the Winter Break holidays.
