Celvin ‘C.G.’ Walwyn will become the next Commissioner of Police in St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean, the government recently announced.

Walwyn is a 25 year law enforcement veteran who is currently an Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy.  Walwyn has also served as an Interim Chief of Police in Texas, and has held positions in private industry as well.

At a media availability on Tuesday afternoon, Orange county Sheriff Jerry Demings praised ‘C.G.’ for his valuable work at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and took the opportunity to bid him farewell.

Walywn, for his part, discussed plans for policing in St. Kitts and Nevis, which has seen an uptick in criminal activity, some of it targeted toward tourists, in this twin island federation of less than 40,000 people.
