Commissioner Bill Segal (District 5), one of the candidates in the race for Orange County Mayor, received the endorsement of the Central Florida Police Benevolent Association on Wednesday.
The Central Florida Police Benevolent Association represents some 1,200 Orange County Deputies.
Reacting to the endorsement Segal said, “I always say that we need safe neighborhoods for our citizens and to lure high-wage jobs here. The endorsement of the men and women who are on the front lines of Orange County’s public safety effort means a great deal to me.”
The Orange County Professional Firefighters, Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association have already endorsed Bill Segal.
There are three other leading candidates in the race for Orange County Mayor, Commissioner Linda Stewart (District 4), former Orange County Commissioner and financial professional Mrs. Teresa Jacobs and business owner Mr. Matthew Falconer.
