All those dying to know how Pastor Zachery Tims, founder of the New Destiny Christian Center in Apopka died, will have to wait a while longer.
A New York County Appellate Court granted a request by Tims’ mother to bar city officials from making public what led to Tims’ death.
Tims, 42, was found dead in a hotel room in New York City Times Square last August.
Last December, a Supreme Court judge ruled that no laws prevented the medical examiner’s office from releasing the findings of Tims’ autopsy report.
But Madeline Tims appealed that ruling. She has until July 9, to file an appeal against the Supreme Court.
According to news reports, Tims’ mother has said, the cause of her son’s death would embrass the family.
There is speculation that Tims could have died from a drug overdose. A small glassine envelope of white powder was found in Tims’ pant pocket, when his body was found. Â Earlier autopsy results turned out to be inconclusive.
