Florida State Surgeon General Appoints Three to Council of Licensed Midwifery

On Friday,  State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong announced the appointments of Melissa Conord-Morrow, Stephanie Wombles and Charlie Young to the Council of Licensed Midwifery.

Conord-Morrow, LM, of Lakeland is a midwife with Celebrate Birth Midwifery, Inc. She is reappointed to the seat of licensed midwife for a 4-year term beginning March 6, 2015, and ending March 5, 2019.

Stephanie Wombles, CNM, of Panama City works as a midwife at All About Women. She is appointed to the seat of certified nurse midwife for a 4-year term beginning March 6, 2015, and ending March 5, 2019.

Charlie Young, LM, of Tampa is a midwife with Barefoot Birth. She is appointed to the seat of licensed midwife for a 2-year term beginning March 6, 2015, and ending March 3, 2017.

The appointments take effect immediately.
