In a unanimous vote, the Board of County Commissioners – Orange County – recently approved $150,000 for ZORA! Festival 2015.
The vote ratifies plans by organizers begun in 2012, of the award-winning event.
The award, based on a recommendation by the Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs Council, is essentially a challenge grant as The Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community (P.E.C.) must match it $1-for-$1, in cash.
Beginning Saturday, January 24, 2015 and concluding on Sunday, February 1, this nationally recognized festival will explore the theme of music, “Rhythms of the Diaspora,” through film, folk material, literature and commerce.
