The woman who claims that Casey Anthony ruined her reputation is pushing to have a trial date set.
Zenaida Gonzalez’ lawyers filed a motion earlier this week asking the clerk of the court for the next available trial date.
Gonzalez’ lawsuit says that her reputation was damaged when she was named by Casey Anthony as the person who kidnapped her two-year old daughter, Caylee.
Anthony had said that a nanny, named Zenaida Gonzalez had kidnapped her toddler, whose remains were found later, several blocks for the Anthony family home in June 2008. To date, no evidence has been found that Caylee was kidnapped and investigators believe that Anthony invented the story.
Anthony, who did not report that her child was missing until one month later, is charged with first degree murder in the death of her daughter. She sits in the Orange County Jail awaiting trial and if convicted could face the death penalty.
Anthony spent her second Thanksgiving Day in jail and no family members were scheduled to visit with her.
Gonzalez is claiming at least $10,000 in damages.
